Lil' Sista Love
I don't know if everyone who reads this has had the pleasure of meeting my sister but I spent a little time with her last night catching up on Dexter, doing laundry and packing mail. She is the funniest and most serious person I have ever met. For those of you that don't know she's currently on the prowl for a job that pays her enough to keep her comfy while she develops her career as a writer. The funny twist to all of this is that the girl straight up can't get a job because she's too damn smart. Every time I see her she's telling me about her last interview that went awry due to having more brain cells than the person interviewing her. They look down and see her major in collage was "Molecular Biology" and decide they can't keep her for long. One job actually gave her an IQ test that she tried her best to score average on and ended up 2 points shy of genius. HEHEHE The thing is you'd think they'd jump on the chance to have someone so talented and asking so little. I guess the world is too jaded to realize that things are not always too good to be true. It's sad to think that..... there's a big void in the world where optimism should be and perhaps more great things would manifest themselves if we would just focus clearly on the things we want rather than those we do not. Well ,if anyone is in need of a super-genius executive assistant that can work all manner of Do-Dads and computer software..... I got your hook up. Maybe she'll listen to me and put an app in at NASA where that whole "evil genius" thing is appreciated.
I haven't blogged in quite awhile. I got back from Vegas only to head out to
On another up note I found

I'll tell you what, if this picture doesn't describe our family, nothing does. If you can't tell what's going on here, it's a book, (still in the bubble wrap), titled "Getting Things Done". This treasure was found in the bottom of a pile in my sister's office. I helped her move this weekend, and couldn't resist the picture.Much as I laughed my ass off the get it done in my brain is bubble wrapped too. I've got a list a mile long. The problem with huge lists is that they are paralyzing! I think I am going to open up my little calender and set aside a day for each task that is draining my soul and spend it "Getting Things Done".
Anyway, it's been so busy. I came back from a waaaay too long, but successful trip to Vegas to a poker game that night, a b-day/UFC (Happy B-Day Roel!!!) party here at the house only to wake up in time to scurry to the barn Sunday for Marcel's bday party which was a big hit. The rest of the week found me being lazy rather than "Getting Thngs Done" or playing catch up like I should. This short week I've gotta get everything caught up so I can get behind again while in Laguna beach, (I leave sunday) though I think being lazy on the beach for a week and getting spa treatments is a welcomish trip. I just hate getting on planes, and leaving my family. Two more weeks and it's off to Memphis. Alex will go with me this time, and we'll be driving so that will be awesome!
I have to say, I've become a bit spoiled, much as I complain about traveling. I have an awesome job that leaves me in the airport hands on hips, pouting, "where the hell is my limo!?!" The poor guy couldn't get any slack. As busy of a travel schedule as I have I really shouldn't complain.
This weekend was busy but fun. I went shopping with the girls for something to wear to Alex's crazy girl concert. Saturday found us waiting for YEARS to see the Genitorturers. Not because there was a huge crowd but because the club wanted to take their sweet ass time(1hr!) letting people in. Then we sat through 5 bands before the one we came to see. On an empty stomache out of my element and in a crowd, this was none too good for me. No booze no drugs but my husband swears taking me to Denney's afteward was like trying to get someone to sober up. Alex had a good time though, and got some great pictures. I passed out when we got home. Other than that we hung out with friends, watched movies and OH! I got a hair cut. I'll have to see if I can find a picture. I havn't seen it curly yet. They straightened it. Guess I'll find out tonight!

Ok, I know you're supposed to blog more than once a month. It's been a little busy. I've been running all week this week. We're planning Marcel's bday, he started school, my mom had surgery last week, and the week before I went to a psychic fair and got called an alien. It's been crazy. Did i mention I'm leaving for Vegas on Monday?
So Alex and I have started keeping dream journels. So far I only have one wild nap dream. I woke up and scribbled down four pages that I can't read now. LOL gotta love my hand writing. It's hard to wake up and straight away start writing. I guess we'll get used to it eventually though.
Other than that it's been a good past few weeks. We have gotten a lot done and even started lifting weights again. Turns out lean cuisines are far cheaper than fast food and a little better for our expanding waist lines as well. Though, I think Alex is going to have to switch to somthing more calorie filled. He's already shedding pounds just from lifting weights. Oh to be so lucky! Then again I just bought a bunch of new clothes. I had to get somthing for the new Passion Parties training video and found a few other things I couldn't live without. I spent under $200 and got three shirts, 1 pair of slacks, a skirt, 2 pairs of jeans and two pairs of shoes..... oh yea, and some sunglasses so it was a pretty good score. Hopefully I'll be reporting soon that they're all too big, save the shoes and sunglasses.
Daniel is coming along nicely. He's been a ton of fun. Though I did nearly fall off of him during my lesson last week. Not his fault, I scared the bejesus out of him getting on. He's getting really big, and actually starting to look like draft horse. The picture doesn't do him justice. He's massive, and going through another growth spurt. He was nibbling on Flash today in this picture but They both moved before I could get my phone to take it.
Well... That's it for me for now.
I'll leave you with some pompus poker wisdom:
1. It takes a better hand to call than it does to raise
2. You make money to your left, and lose it to your right.
3. Some of the best poker is played in folds
4. Slow rollin' ain't nice
5. Always tip your dealer
6. When stuck between a raiser, and a potential caller, reraise or fold
7. Pot odds only count if hitting your draw will give you the best hand
8. Don't slow play anything smaller than a flush, and even then be careful
9. KQ, KJ, QJ, AQ, AJ, A10, and Ace small are all trouble hands
10. Don't watch the flop, watch the other players watch the flop
11. Don't look at your cards until it's your turn to act.
12. Don't draw to a straight with a flush draw showing
13. Don't draw to a flush on a paired board
14. Get your money in better than 50/50
15. Tighten up around a donkey. Go at him with the nuts or close to it.
16. If you're going to bluff, put your dick on the table, don't bet the min.
17. Bet the pot or more
18. You will lose more of your chips calling than you will raising
19. Look to see how many people are acting behind you
20. Don't go broke in a nothin' pot

Well, it’s exactly 24 days before I have to head to Vegas to film a new training video with my fellow MDC members for
Everything is great otherwise, I have too much to do, and too little time but that's the story of my life.
Can I just say I love my horse? I rode Daniel for maybe the third time today. Today was the first time we trotted. If you haven't met him he's a two year old Percheron, (read will be as big as one of those monsters pulling the Budweiser wagon around) who I adopted a little over a year ago. He's coming along so well and certainly doesn't have the temperment of a two year old. We had a blast. It was like riding a huge bass drum playing a totally whimsical beat. I can't wait to get him pulling. Him, and our little guy Remmy.
Horse camp starts next Monday and it will be Marcel's first week long adventure out of family land. I'm a little nervous, and I admit, a little more worried about it than he is. The place we board at, Almost Heaven Riding Stables offers summer camp and spring break camp for kiddos 7 and up. He'll be day camping as will his pal Brittney, and I practically live there but he's never done anything like this so there's nothing for a mommy to do but be worried how he'll take it. They get assigned a horse to be theirs for the week while they're there. I wonder who he'll pick. Daniel, while friendly as all get out has too much feet and not yet enough coordination to play with the kids. Remmy is the only pony and too small to hang with the big guys, my guess is he'll pick Bank who he's used to.
I'm off to work up the ambition to climb on the treadmill, or lift weights...... Night!

Chewing more than you can bite off...
I over slept today which I have done just about everyday this week. GRRR I have a really busy weekend ahead of me with a poker game tonight, a party with a favorite client tomorrow, a mock party for my team sunday, followed by a week of nothing special which is great because I'll have killed myself trying to get everything to run smoothly over the weekend.
Other than my accountant lecturing me on being more available to him I've had a great week. I had lunch with my barn family yesterday who I haven't seen in nearly a month due to shows, camp, and a really annoying rotator cuff . I finally rode Daniel, (don't get too excited that's my horse), and had a blast catching up with everyone. I really love those guys. I got my ass whipped last night at Mike's poker game by Xiomara and Mike. I took third so we'll count it good, but they really made it tough on me.

There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra than
Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2020, there should be a large
elderly population with perky boobs, huge erections and absolutely no
recollection of what to do with them.
